About Z Book Club
Searching for an Online Internet Book Club? Want to create an Online Internet Book Club? Discussing books here is as easy as answering: “What are you reading?”. After that, it's all about you: Discuss the books you’re reading with friends and others online.
What is Z Book Club?
Z Book Club is socially driven Online Internet Book Club focusing on print books. Users can choose to participate in active discussions with others, simply blog their book as they read it, or even use it to just catalog their books with the “Bookmark this…” feature.A great feature is finding new books to read through browsing active discussions on the site, by inspecting what other users are reading, and through the Book Suggestions which shows similar books to whatever book you happen to be looking at.
Why make Z Book Club?
Online Internet Book Clubs are accessible from anywhere in the world, at any time, and we hope to breakdown the barriers of classic book clubs and let people discuss books without the need to find readers, select & agree on books, schedule meetings, organize places, etc. With Z Book Club, just select the book you’re reading and start discussing; Your club is created automatically. People reading the same book will see your club and can join the discussion just as easily. The great thing about books and literature is the idea exchange that occurs. From author to reader, there is a transfer of ideas, philosophy and even understanding. Through book clubs, readers can enhance the experience by exchanging their own ideas about what they’ve read and discover different ideas and especially different perspectives.
Where is Z Book Club?
The site focuses on books available in the US, Canada, UK, France, and Germany. The books returned from the search service change somewhat depending on a user’s geographic location (determined automatically via IP geolocation). Users coming from France and Germany will see the site in their language (soon). Z Book Club is where you are, wherever that may be.
Who's behind Z Book Club?
A widely dispersed group of young professionals with a penchant to read a book or two in our spare time (when we're not working on the site). Check out the team page.
